Upgrading your SAMP server

To upgrade your SAMP server, please do the following steps:

1. Get the Linux binary.

You need to grab the latest linux files from http://sa-mp.com so get those files.

2. Uploading the samp03svr binary

Make sure your server is off before you do this. You need to upload the "samp03svr" file from the linux files you grabbed from sa-mp.com

3. Changing Binary file permissions

In order for the server to start on its new Binary, you need to change its file permissions.

On a FTP client you would need to change its file permissions, in this example we will be using filezilla.

To change the file permissions, right click on the file in filezilla, a Dialog box will appear with various options.

You will need to select "File Permissions..." This will open up a new dialog box, what you want the file permissions to be is "700" once finished, select ok.

4. Starting your server

It will then save those permissions, and you should be able to start your server with the new version.
